MaShayla's 1st styles review!

This was MaShayla's first year modleing in 4-H. She did very well and I was very proud of her. Her quilt also took Reserve Champion but I don't have a pic of it yet....

Mountain Trip

On August 1st we decide to take a trip to the mountains and have a picnic lunch. It was a lot of fun and the kids thought it was the neatest thing. We are truly blessed to have such beautiful country so close! We started out by going to state line dam, then we went to marsh lake and ate lunch and let the kids play in the water. Then back in the expedition and up to china meadows, then back down and to bridger lake. Then we took the turn off to Henry's fork and turned and came home through Lonetree. It was quite a trip but VERY fun!

Kamdyn has given us a couple of smiles but we have never caught them on camera. This morning he was in such a good mood and smiling all over the place!! Here are a few pics!

Haircut time....

So MaShayla and I decided to chop our hair for Locks of Love. I cut off about 12 inches and she did about 10. It was pretty traumatic for me!! LOL!! I haven't had my hair this short FOREVER!

1 month old already????

I can't believe Kamdyn is already a lil over a month old! Where has the time gone?! It's been a rough month and he cries A LOT and he will only sleep in his swing at night but we are so glad to have him here and it is so worth it for those short moments he just cuddles with you or looks you in the eye and listens to you talk. He smiled at me on Thursday the 17th at 5 weeks old. It was short but it was there. Aunt Jen and Keaton witnessed it! He also likes to "talk" once in a while and it's so cute. He weighs 10 lbs. and is 22" long. We love you lil buddy!

4th of July

Hooray for the red, white, and blue! We had a lot of fun on the 4th even though daddy was working graves so we didn't get to spend a lot of time with him. We went to the parade in the morning and then everybody came back here for a BBQ. Then we just kind of laid around until fireworks that night. We didn't have to go anywhere because you could sit in our yard and watch them. Unfortunately I got ZERO pics of them because Kamdyn screamed the whole time!! :( But it was stil a pretty good day!

Keaton's baptism

Keaton was baptised on July 5th, 2008. It was a very special day but very, very busy! Grandma Hurdsman and Grandma Carpenter both got to speak and that was very neat! He was scared at first because he didn't want to go under water but after it was all done he realized it was no big deal. I'm so proud of you Keaton!!

Kamdyn's Blessing....

On June 22,2008 we blessed our baby boy. It was sooner than we wanted to do it. We wanted to do it with Keaton's baptism..but Ryan's work schedule has been crazy so you have to take what you can get right? If we would have waited til August his suit wouldn't have fit him! We feel so very blessed to have him in our lives, even if he cries most of the day and is up most of the night! :) I would so rather go through this than what we suffered through a year ago losing Lilly. We love our baby boy and can't wait to see how he grows and develops! But even after he grows up he will still be my baby boy! I have to add also that my lovely sis, Sherry took most of these pics for me and also made his bith announcement. THANKS SIS!!

He's HERE!!

We went down wed. night to stay in a motel in Ogden. I had contractions pretty much all the way down there about every 8 min. We got checked in to the motel and ordered in pizza and tried to relax and calm down. I turned the t.v. off at 11:30 and tried to get some sleep. I of course couldn't really sleep and was checking the clock constantly. I rolled over in bed to check the clock and saw it was 3:00a.m. when I felt a lil gush. I ran to the bathroom, scared to look, because I felt the same thing with MaShayla and her's was blood from the placenta abruption. Thankfully this time no blood but my water had broken. So we packed up and checked out of our motel room at about 3:15 and the lady gave us some strange looks checking out in the middle of the night! LOL! Got to the hospital. Got admitted and hooked up to monitors and then tried to start an i.v. After 4 sticks and blown veins and throwing up, they finally got one but I look like a drug user! My arms are so bruised! They checked my cervix and I was almost a 5. I was having reg. contractions on my own and I got an epidural at about 6:30. I got really really sick and started puking again and my blood pressure had dropped to 72/38 so they gave me some epinephrine. But all through this the baby looked awesome! The contractions kind of fizzled out and so they turned on the pitocin at a lil after 7 and checked me again and I was a 6. They checked me about 10 and I was complete but we just kept letting the contractions bring his head down more on their own. I have always had to push for 2 or 3 hours and so I was scared to start pushing but I started pushing about 10:30 and he was born at 10:48!! I was so happy! I couldn't believe he came that fast! He came out with 1 hand at the same time as his head and was waving to the world! He was so sweet! He weighed 8 lbs 14 oz and was 19.5 inches long. We finally decided yesterday (because we couldn't leave the hospital w/out a name) to name him Kamdyn Blayke. It fits him and I love Kamdyn and wanted it and Ryan wanted Blayke so we just combined those 2. He nurses like a champ but last night was VERY long! He just wanted to eat all night! My milk hasn't come in too good yet but it's getting there. Here are some pics you can check out!

baby update....

Just wanted to update everyone and let you know that my induction is scheduled for June 12th. I am very nervous but we are all excited to finally meet this little guy!! Wish us luck and send us prayers that all goes well!
